Description
Summary:Applying the methods of mathematical and experimental modeling, the processes of heat and mass transfer in heat accumulator with phase transformations, where heat sources are made in the form of tube bundles staggered have been studied. The analysis of these processes is carried out and the main phases of heat accumulation and extraction at heat accumulator “charging” and “discharging” have been determined. The geometry of the location of heat sources (runoffs) is found, at which the rate of heat accumulation (extraction) from the unit of PCM is the maximum. As a result of the conducted investigations a new improved design of heat accumulator, which can be used when developing heat accumulators of a similar type has been suggested.
