Meanwhile there are still vivid prejudices like: »With menopausethere comes the end of sexual life«; or: »Sex in the old age is not any more decent«.The researchers found what physiological changes are going on in women in postmenopause and what is their influence on sexual behaviour. They also found that with the lack oftestosterone it is also libido of these women diminishing. The consequence of these changesand the fact that partners of old women are dying before them is that between 70 and 80 %of these women don’t practice sex any more. Author shows that there is no need to be so.If the woman is healthy enough and she has a partner, she can enjoy sex as she did before.By means of sex therapy the couple can further improve their sexual life.
