| Summary: | This work claimed to Estanislao Zuleta as an intellectual transition in a changing cultural context, with an approach to his life and work from highlighting key points. At first, the central elements of the debate about what is an intellectual are located and under what assumptions should be understood activity, and clarities what involves the study of a character immersed in the Colombian intellectual field are introduced. The characteristics of the changes experienced by the country during the fifties, sixties and seventies, affecting development scenarios of intellectual life, to make way for the creation of a kind of professionalized intellectual hierarchies were then subjected to expose institutionalized mechanisms established consecration. Finally, we present some trends in the analysis of the life and work of Estanislao Zuleta and from its problematic, potential developments that would demand his intellectual biography proposed, which necessarily must be located in a context of change, where he expresses the transition. |
