Summary:This article proposes to systematize the evolution of the procedural rules that have governed the execution of custodial sentences in the legislation of the Province of Córdoba (Argentina) between 1887/1940. In particular, the significance of the procedural reform of 1940 is analyzed, in comparison with the previous legal texts. At the same time, the characteristics of university education in criminal procedure law are studied in the same period, in order to determine how the training given to lawyers was related to this aspect of the subject.
