With the aging of population increases the incidence of advanced venous disease present, mainly in theform of chronic venous insufficiency and venous thromboembolism. The severity of symptoms associated withthese disorders depends on i.a. hormonal changes that occur during menopause and in connection with the useof hormone replacement therapy. These differences require modification of therapeutic treatment in this patientgroup, compared with the methods used in the rest of the population. In this paper we have paid attention onselected venous pathology issues occurring in this group of patients.
