Summary:The purpose of this study is to find out the opinions of the students on the learning objects designed for ‘I Get to Know Myself’ unit in the course of ‘Studying the Individual and Community’. The research was carried out with qualitative research methods and the data obtained were analyzed with NVivo8 programme. The study group consists of 30 students of 4th grade at an Elementary School in Çayeli, district of Rize. As a means of data collection, the compositions, including the opinions of the students were used throughout the 5 week course carried out by the researcher. As a result, it was identified that the students had positive opinions on learning objects and in such an environment the students found the Social Studies lesson entertaining and enjoyable, moreover the learning objects used in the lessons influence their opinions and help having different feelings at the same time. It is envisioned that the usage of learning objects in Social Studies lesson will aid students to overcome many of the problems encountered in this course and affect the attitudes of the students to Social Studies positively.
